Hello Lori,
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Celebrating New Year's Eve at the Walt Disney World Resort is a magical way to ring in the New Year! You are going to have a "pixie dusted" start to 2017!
Information about this year's
New Year's Eve festivities has not yet been released but should be very soon. Be sure to check the
Disney Parks Blog for updates and new event announcements; they should be posted any day now.
Keep in mind that New Year's Eve in Magic Kingdom Park is always very crowded. If you want to enjoy the fireworks show from inside the Park, I suggest arriving as early in the evening as you can. You could also view
Wishes nighttime spectacular and/or the New Year's Eve fireworks show outside of Magic Kingdom Park. The beach area at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and the Marina at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, both offer an absolutely breathtaking view of the fireworks show! You can head over to Disney's Beach Club Resort and view the New Years version of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth on the bridge just before the International Gateway entrance to Epcot. In the past, Lights! Camera, Happy New Year! fireworks show has taken place at Disney's Hollywood Studios. I recommend heading to Disney's BoardWalk Inn and taking a seat by Luna Park Pool to view the show!
Please let us know if we can help you with any additional vacation planning questions!
Magical Wishes,
Susan
