    Has there been any info on the opening of the enchanted forest and castle openings in Fantasyland? I plan on going to Disney in November and will be seriously bummed if we schedule too early and it is not open yet.

    Hi Kimberly,

    Like you, I am ultra excited about the new Fantasyland expansion taking place at the Magic Kingdom. This is the largest renovation project in the park's history and I am so excited to hear that your travel plans may coincide with this historical unveiling.  As of now, the tentative Grand Opening is slated for "late 2012" but no definite date has been announced.  

    The good news is that it seems as if the openings will be "rolled out" gradually throughout the year, as guests were able to catch a soft-opening of a few select attractions last week including the new Dumbo and the reinvented Goofy's Barnstormer coaster.

    The best source for news pertaining to the Fantasyland expansion is the official Disney Parks Blog.  You can visit the site to sign up for email alerts which will ensure you will be among the first to receive updates as they become available to the public.
