Does an infant count as a dinner guest? I am wondering because I read that "parties of 6 or more" will be charged 18% for gratuity.

Hi Leslie, Unfortunately, yes an infant would be counted towards the total number in the party. We do get an awful lot of questions on this topic and I know it doesn't make much sense, but an infant does have to be included in the reservation for two reasons. One is that they need to make sure that the table will accommodate all of the guests and secondly, they need to have a complete head count at all times in the restaurants due to their fire regulations. Unfortunately, if your children make the head count at your table 6 or more, this would be counted towards the number where the automatic gratuity is added to your bill. Sorry this is not the answer you were hoping to get. Best wishes, Brigitta
