Do the individual pavilions at Epcot take Disney gift cards? My grandkids love purchasing items in the japan one the best. Trying to plan the best way to provide them spending money.

    Howdy Lisa!

Welcome to planDisney!  I love Disney Gift Cards and collecting them before my vacations!  I am excited to help you with your question!

Disney Gift Cards are accepted at all Walt Disney World Resort owned and operated locations as long as they accept credit cards.  Over the years, I have found that some of the countries around World Showcase do not accept Disney Gift Cards.  When my kids were small, we used to make sure they had their own personal spending money, and I loved giving them Disney Gift Cards, but since your grandkids would like to purchase items at the Japan Pavilion, then I recommend getting a general visa gift card.  With a general visa gift card, they will be able to make purchases at locations throughout the parks that are not owned and operated by the Walt Disney World Resort.

Your vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort is just days away, and I know you are counting down the days until you are back at the Walt Disney World Resort “Making Dreams Come True” with your grandchildren!  The Walt Disney World Resort is doing an amazing job maintaining physical distancing and minimal person to person contact.  They are strongly encouraging guests to use payment forms that do not require person to person contact.  Using Disney Gift Cards and credit cards are the preferred method of payment at this time.  Also, I placed a link in the “Restaurants that have reopened” text.  This site will provide you with all the quick-service locations.  Since the Walt Disney World Resort is strongly encouraging guests to use the Mobile Food Ordering option on your My Disney Experience, this site will help you become familiar with the current restaurants available.  You can even look through the menus, so when you get a “Rumbly in your Tumbly,” you will know exactly where you want to go and what you are looking forward to eating!

I know you are excited to experience the Walt Disney World Resort with your grandchildren, and I am sure they are looking forward to spending this time with you!  If you have any more questions while you are planning and packing, please come back to planDisney!  We look forward to helping you again, Lisa!  Wave hi to Mickey from all of us at planDisney!

    See Ya Real Soon,
