Hey there, hi there, ho there, Jennifer!
You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by with your question about dining reservations at Walt Disney World Resort. It looks like you're planning to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth in just a few short weeks - the countdown is on! You chose a perfect time to visit because you'll be among the last Guests to experience the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration. The magic is calling!
Jennifer, I understand that plans can change, including the number of Mouseketeers that might be joining you for meals. When booking
dining reservations, I recommend including the maximum possible number of Guests you expect to join, instead of trying to add in a Guest later on. If this isn't possible, you can always check back for additional availability to accommodate your larger party size using the
My Disney Experience mobile app. In your "Future Plans," select the dining reservation you'd like to update and tap "Modify." Update the party size and select the desired date and time for your reservation. If availability exists, it will be displayed here and you'll be able to update your existing reservation. If you don't see what you want, I encourage you to continue checking back, as Guests' plans are always changing!
If you still haven't been able to add a Mouseketeer to your Club (er, I mean dining reservation) before your meal, don't lose hope quite yet! Some Table Service dining locations offer
Mobile Dine Check-in which allows Guests to check in for dining reservations on the My Disney Experience mobile app. One step in the Mobile Dine Check-in process includes confirming the number of Guests in your party. In my experience, I've been given the option to include up to one additional Guest during this step. For dining locations that don't offer Mobile Dine Check-in, you could visit the host stand to make your request with a friendly Cast Member on duty. Of course, the ability to accommodate an extra Guest is dependent on the specific dining location and time, but it doesn't hurt to try!
Did you know that you're currently in your booking window for
Enchanting Extras Collection offerings, Jennifer? Perhaps you'd enjoy the
Amorette's Patisserie Cake Decorating Experience at Disney Springs or
Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour at Magic Kingdom Park! Your visit also coincides with the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival - my favorite of the EPCOT Festivals! As a fellow Michigander, I can assure you there's no better way to shake the gloomy winter blues than by checking out the beautiful blooms that take over EPCOT each spring. I love exploring the
Disney Eats Foodie Guide before I visit an EPCOT Festival to plan out my "must-eats" around World Showcase!
Jennifer, I hope this information is helpful to you as you continue to plan your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I'm wishing you an enchanting visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have any additional questions about your upcoming visit, please feel free to stop back by planDisney anytime - we're all ears!
See ya real soon,
Lauren
