How much is the incidentals hold on a Credit/Debit card at The Grand Californian?

Hi there, Olivia! Welcome to planDisney. It looks like you are planning to stay in the magic at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. You are going to love the Crafstman-style architecture, the sweeping ceiling in the lobby (along with that holiday treat cart!), and the quick walk to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park! It's the closest you can get to staying IN the parks!

I can see that you are arriving in just TWO days, so let's get straight to your question. While pricing is always subject to change, I spoke with the Front Desk at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa this morning, and they confirmed that currently there is a $250 incidental hold put on the credit card on file. This amount is per stay, not per night, so you would just see the one-time hold for the full amount. If you do not charge anything to your room during your stay, that full amount would be refunded to you upon checkout. If you have any questions during your stay, the Cast Members at the front desk are very happy to help!

While I was on the phone this morning, they passed along some information on parking that I thought might be useful for you as well. If you plan to park on-site either with valet or self-parking, the daily fees would be charged upfront for the length of your stay. Currently, valet parking is $65 while self-parking is $35 per night. If you were staying for two evenings, you would be charged $130 for valet or $70 for self-parking at check-in. This pricing is always subject to change, but I thought this might be useful in your budgeting for your holiday trip!

As a guest of a Disneyland Resort Hotel, don't forget that you will have access to Early Entry, which is 30 magical minutes in the parks ahead of the official opening. It gives you just enough time to head to your favorite attraction or take some photos in front of the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle before the crowds join you in the park. While most attractions are open during this time, check with a Cast Member before heading straight to your favorites so you don't waste any of those pixie-dusted minutes! Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is typically not open during this time, so you'll want to focus on another land until you can head to Batuu!

Olivia, I'm sending you some holly jolly wishes for a beautiful holiday stay this week! If you have any more questions about your planning, you know where to find us here at planDisney!

    Merry magic awaits!
