IMy kids and I are going to Orlando from Oct. 27 - Nov 5. What can we expect in terms of crowds and weather at DisneyWorld? Any recommendations on best days of the week to visit the theme parks vs. spend the day at the pool?

    Hi Natalie!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

Generally speaking, you are visiting during a low to medium time (in terms of crowds) at Walt Disney World.  The only exception will be the Magic Kingdom on Halloween night and the nights Disney is holding Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in the Magic Kingdom.  On those nights, the park is packed with guests going trick or treating in costume throughout the park.  If you have never experienced it before, you should definitely consider it.

For help in putting together a general itinerary, I recommend visiting the independent website TouringPlans.com.  That is the website for the research team behind the tour book "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World".  They are famous in the Disney fan community for producing a crowd calendar of what the crowds will be like on various days in the various parks.  Their predictions are based on a lot of math and years of data collection.  As an engineer, I am a huge fan of their work.  Definitely check out their website.

Enjoy planning your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and please write back with more questions!
