IMy husband and I have two little boys (5 years & 3 years old) and plann to visit Disney in October 2010. We have heard that there are hotels in wich you can see walking around different characters like Mickey, Winni, etc. which are these hotels?

    Hi Jo Anna,

Getting to meet your favorite characters is an essential part of a Disney vacation for many guests.  They can be found in specific locations throughout the parks.  When you arrive at a Disney park, you'll find two guides.  One is a map detailing all of the attractions, and another is a daily schedule of parades, entertainment and special character meeting times.

Another way to meet characters is by dining at one of the many restaurants in Walt Disney World that features character dining.  At these restaurants, characters visit each table for photos and to sign autographs.  It's a fun way to get some one on one time with some popular characters without having to stand in line.

Click HERE to be directed to a link of all Walt Disney World restaurants.  On the left hand side of the page you'll see a menu titled DINING EXPERIENCE.  Select CHARACTER DINING.  Every restaurant features different characters, so I recommend reading the descriptions to find one that your family will enjoy.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to find characters just walking around throughout the resorts.

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
