How important is it to make reservations for dining?

    Hi Jill!

It is very important to make dining reservations at Walt Disney World to guarantee a seats for you and your family at your favorite Walt Disney World restaurant.  Most of the Table Service restaurants are fully booked and do not offer walk up reservations because of the popularity of dinning at Walt Disney World.  It has been my experience that if you do not have an Advanced Dining Reservation, you will not be able to get table at a Walt Disney World restaurant.  I am sure that there are exceptions to my experience, but they are few and far between!

Presently as I am responding to your question, you can make an Advanced Dining Reservation 180 days in advance of the first day of your trip by calling 407-WDW-DINE (1-407-939-3463) or you can make them online at www.disneyparks.com (look under Walt Disney World then Book then Dining Reservations).

Keep in mind that an Advanced Dining Reservation is more like a Priority Seating Reservation.  You should plan on showing up at least 5-10 min before your Advanced Dining Reservation time. When the next table for your size of dinning party comes available and you are next on the list, then your party will be seated to eat. Once you are seated your only job is to order what you want and enjoy some delicious food!

I hope that you have some magical meals on your next trip to Walt Disney World!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
