How important is it to coordinate dining reservations with the park you plan to be visiting on that day? Most CD seems to be at MK, so is it a big deal if we have lunch reservations at a MK restaurant on a day we plan to be at Epcot, for example?

    Hi Robert,

You will want to coordinate your dining reservations with the park you plan to visit for the day if you do not have park-hopper tickets.  Basic Magic Your Way tickets only allow you to visit one Disney theme park per day.  Therefore, if you plan to be in Epcot on a specific day, that's where you should plan to dine.

However, if you have park-hopper tickets to the theme parks, you can visit one theme park and then leave to dine in a restaurant in another theme park.  Guests do this all the time.  Do keep in mind, however, that you will lose some of your theme park time as you travel from one park to another.  Therefore, even if you do have park-hopper tickets, it does make sense to try to minimize hopping from park to park if you are concerned about squeezing every last minute out of your day to experience the attractions inside the parks.   Personally, I enjoy riding the monorails from Epcot to the Magic Kingdom or the Friendship boats from Disney's Hollywood Studios to Epcot, but others may choose to spend their time in the parks rather than riding between them.

Just think about how you choose to spend your time on your Disney theme park days before booking your dining reservations.  Also, keep in mind that there are character dining experiences available in each of the Disney theme parks.  If you need assistance finding one, please feel free to post another question to the Moms Panel.  We would be delighted to help you!
