Hello! I am an Imagine Keyholder. My toddler turned 3 in March. I have not come to the park since Jan because I had a baby in Feb. I have a trip booked this week. Am I able to get my 3yo a MK even though it’s just past 60 days from her 3rd bday? Thank you

    Hi Elaine!

Congratulations on your newest Mouseketeer! I bet you are getting excited to experience the Happiest Place on Earth with both Mouseketeers in tow. As a Magic Key-holding family, your visit will be touched with extra pixie dust, especially now that the 70th Anniversary celebration is in full swing.

I'm sure, as a seasoned Magic Key holder, you are aware that Magic Key sales can be paused and unpaused at any time, and currently only the Inspire and Believe Keys are available. If you arrive this week and both of these keys are still available, of course, you would be able to purchase one for your newly minted 3-year-old! I'm guessing that you are hoping to secure your toddler an Imagine Key, similar to your own. Occasionally, Cast Members will grant a new Magic Key of the same pass type as their caregiver to Guests that have just turned 3. Guest Services confirmed that this is not guaranteed, but it certainly doesn't hurt to ask at the Ticket Booth if this is possible for your kiddo. They did highly recommend that your 3-year-old be present at the time the request is made, and it will be required to show a document with proof of birthdate (original or certified copy of a birth certificate or passport). No photos of the document will be accepted. I'm going to ask the Blue Fairy to make a wish on your behalf that dreams come true, and your toddler is holding an Imagine Key of their own this week!

On your way into either Disneyland or California Adventure, be sure to pick up one of the new Family Adventure Maps! These are maps specifically designed with kids in mind to include them in all the festive fun of the 70th Anniversary. The maps are kid-friendly and include a special seek-and-find game, perfect for when you are waiting in a queue or for a meal. For parents, it has all the information you would need for a smooth, fun, and magical day. There's information about which restaurants offer Kid-Favorite Foods, specifying which kid-friendly specialty is served (burgers, fries, chicken tenders, you name it!). There's also a quick reference guide to the attractions that tells you if there's a height requirement, if there are any drops, if it's scary, and more. Trust me, you will want to have this go-to guide in your pocket!

Finally, don't forget to check out that Magic Key Portal on the website or in the Disneyland app! With your arrival this week, you will get to take full advantage of the Magic Key 70th Kick-Off Event, running May 27 - June 2, 2025. Over at the Hyperion Theater Courtyard at California Adventure, enjoy fun photo ops with complimentary printed photos along with a Paint the Night Parade poster! The hours for the event each day are listed in the portal, so be sure to take a look before heading over.

Elaine, I know you are in for some unforgettable memories and lots of magic this week. If you have any more questions or need a friendly tip or two, we are always here for you at planDisney.

    Enjoy!
