Hi there, AnnJulia!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so excited that you plan on taking your two year old son to the Happiest Place on Earth. This is such a fun age for little ones to experience the thrills, Characters, and magic of a Disneyland Resort vacation.
I'm happy to inform you that children under three years old do not require a ticket or proof of age to enter either theme park. You are more than welcome to take your son right into the entrance with you, and let the Cast Member know he is two years old. We actually chose to take my son multiple times to Disney Parks before his third birthday to really take advantage of his free admission. Once your child does require a ticket, they will have a
reduced admission rate until they turn 10 years old.
Since you plan on heading to
Disney California Adventure Park, make sure you stop by Cars Land. Your son will love meeting the famous residents of Radiator Springs like Tow Mater and Lightning McQueen. He'll also get to fuel up on delicious eats and sweets at Flo's V8 Cafe and the Cozy Cone Motel. I just love the bread cones and other cone-coctions!
Some other great attractions at this park for little ones include The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel's Undersea Adventure, Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!, and the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. My son also loves the Disney Junior Dance Party! This fun entertainment offering lets your little one move it and shake it with familiar Disney Junior Characters.
I hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
