I'm wondering about how it's going to work taking a backpack on the theme park rides. Do they let you bring a backpack on the rides? Do you place at it your feet while riding? Do you reccomend a certain style or type of pack? Thanks for your advice!!

We almost always have a backpack with us in the theme parks and we've never had any trouble taking it on rides with us.  You can either hold it on your lap (for the most tame attractions) or put it at your feet.  Additionally, some rides have small mesh bags attached to the seat back in front of you; small to medium sized bags can be safely contained inside for the duration of the ride.  I can't say that one brand of backpack is better than another.  My husband uses a Jansport one, whereas I use a smaller, sling type of bag made by Baggalini.  Both suit our needs just fine.  I hope that helps!
