Oh boy! I'm sorry your having trouble purchasing tickets for an October visit to Disneyland Resort. You mentioned that it wouldn't let you purchase on dates past September 15, 2022, and I think that helps me figure out the issue. When you are on the page to purchase tickets, it automatically selects the
California Resident Ticket Offer ticket type at the top of the page. Those tickets are valid until September 15, 2022. If you select the standard theme park ticket type, you shouldn't have any issues looking at and booking October 2022 dates. Currently, you can purchase and make reservations for tickets 120 days in advance.
Since you are in the 60-day timeframe, you can book any advanced dining reservations that you may be interested in. If you are looking to do something special, I highly suggest the
World of Color Dessert Party. It is a splurge, but I did it back in May and it was such a great experience. I loved the dessert spread of sweets, cheese, and fruit and the drinks were great. What really made it worth it was having a reserved seat and viewing area to enjoy the show. The servers and attention were fantastic!
