I'm wondering if there are sample itineraries for the different parks? We will be heading to Disney in late October. We have a 5 year old and an almost 3 year old. We will be there for 6 full days. Hard to know how to plan each park with young ones.

    Hi Alison!

Thanks for directing your question to me!  I'm so excited to hEAR you will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort in October. Although Disney does not provide official sample itineraries for each park, I am happy to assist you with your plans. Based on the ages of your children, I definitely recommend scheduling a non-park day in the middle of your trip so that you can sleep in and enjoy a day of fun and relaxation at your Disney Resort hotel.

As a mom of four children myself, I always arrived at park opening and then headed back to our Disney Resort hotel for a midday nap or swim. We would then return to the park in the early evening in order to enjoy the nighttime offerings.

At Magic Kingdom Park, I recommend beginning your day in Fantasyland at Peter Pan's Flight and then tour the park by "lands." This strategy has always allowed us to maximize our time and decrease the amount of unnecessary walking. At Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, I recommend starting your day at Kilimanjaro Safaris. Toy Story Mania! would be my first stop at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Frozen Ever After is a "must do" attraction at Epcot.

Be sure to utilize FastPass+ service in order to decrease your wait time for many of the most popular attractions and experiences.  I'm out of room for my answer, but please feel free to reach out again with the specific parks you are planning to visit, and I can further assist you. Best wishes for a magical trip!

    Happy Planning,
