I'm wondering about the new Early Entry: I'm planning to stay at the Holiday Inn Orlando in October the evening of October 9th. Will I be able to enter Epcot early the morning of the 9th? What would I need to show to gain entry?

Hey there, Ryan! You're as welcome as can be at planDisney! And before you know it, you'll be welcomed to your "home-away-from-home" at a Disney Springs area hotel. Time to get excited!

You've made a great choice to make one of the official Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotels your base during your vacation. Staying within walking distance of the incredible dining and shopping options at Disney Springs makes a night out extra convenient, and definitely amps up the fun factor!

Plus, you get to take advantage of some great perks, like access to Early Theme Park Entry! I'm happy to tell you that Guests of the Holiday Inn Orlando can enter the theme parks 30 minutes before the official park opening time. It looks like EPCOT is scheduled to open at 9 a.m. on the date of your visit, so you'll be able to start the fun as early as 8:30! If you plan to use the hotel shuttle to the theme parks, I'd check with the front desk to find out how early they start running to EPCOT and plan to be on the first one. When you arrive at the park, you should see signage for Resort hotel Guests taking advantage of Early Entry. Then, you'll present your MagicBand or Admission Card and your Resort ID - your Holiday Inn Orlando room key card should be sufficient. And that's it! You're ready to explore the World!

Ryan, do remember that you'll need to have a Disney Park Pass reservation along with your valid ticket for the day you plan to visit EPCOT. Also, if you're hoping to ride the brand new "squeak-tacular" Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, be sure to hop into your My Disney Experience mobile app by 7 a.m. for a chance to secure a spot in the virtual queue. If you happen to miss out on the first round, there will be a second opportunity to join the virtual queue that day at 1 p.m., and your entire party must be in the park to access that one.

I'm so excited for you to get an early jump on your Disney day, Ryan! Have a magical time at EPCOT, and please "scurry" back and see us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
