I'm wondering if there is a link to the rules and regulations of Disney transportation services? Basically I'm wondering what the rules are for keeping a child in a stroller as a wheelchair while on the busses. Mixed messages during my recent trip

Hi Andrea! There is not a direct link to a general rules and regulations page concerning the Disney transportation but you can find some information about Accessibility and Mobility on the park pages.

I know many parents in the past have been frustrated when they are required to take their children out of the strollers and fold them up when riding one of the Disney buses or open air boats. This is not a Disney rule to irritate tired families but it is instead a state law of Florida and Disney is simply following that law. Children must be removed from strollers and strollers must be folded during all bus trips. Only wheelchairs and ECVs that fit the restraints on the buses will be allowed to hold passengers during the trip. Even then they are encouraged to leave this and sit in a bus seat when possible.

If your child needs assistance perhaps it would work better to rent a child wheelchair for the vacation. There are many local companies that will do this and deliver and pick up from the resorts so it is quite easy. If in a wheelchair then the child could remain there during a bus trip as long as the chair can be secured using the bus restraints.
