Hi, I’m just wondering can you line up for rides with your family but not go on them?

Hi Zoe! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by to ask us your planning question.

Oh boy! Your vacation at The Happiest Place on Earth starts tomorrow! If there are attractions that a family member doesn't want to experience, there are some rides where you could be together until it's time to take a seat in the ride vehicle. I would recommend checking with a Cast Member at the entrance of the attraction to find out if there is an option to exit before being seated on the ride. The exception to this would be if your family has purchased Disney Genie+ Service. In order to enter the line when using Disney Genie+ or an Individual Lightning Lane, each person who enters the line must have purchased and added this on to their Theme Park Ticket

The Holidays are a great time to make special memories with your family! You can do this without riding attractions. One of my favorite things to do at Disneyland Park during the Holidays is to watch A Christmas Fantasy Parade. It's so fun and festive and always puts me in the holiday spirit! I also love watching the "it's a small world" Holiday Lighting! This takes place at 5:15 p.m., and it's such a beautiful display of lights.

Did you know that Walt Disney considered food to be an attraction at the Disneyland Resort? The food and beverage offerings are another one of my favorite reasons to visit, and there are so many amazing choices! Be sure to check out the Disney Eats: Foodie Guide to Holidays at the Disneyland Resort 2023. I already have a list for my visit next week!

I'm wishing you a very magical holiday vacation with your family, and I hope it's filled with special family time, food, and fun! Please stop by planDisney again when you're ready to plan the next visit. You've got a friend in us, and we would love to help!

    See ya real soon!
    Smiles,
    Lisa
