Hello and welcome to planDisney, Jake. I'm excited to see that you are interested in becoming a
Walt Disney World Annual Passholder. I've been one for several years now and I can honestly say it is well worth the investment.
Jake, while I don't have an exact date to give you, I don't think you'll have to wait too much longer to join the Annual Passholder family. A few weeks ago, the Disney Parks Blog announced that the program would definitely be returning and sometime before the 50th celebration kicks off on October 1st. I think we will see more information about the Walt Disney World Annual Pass program opening back up for new sales any day now. Be sure to keep an eye out over on the
Disney Parks Blog for details.
Until then, Jake, you have
two options for tickets to purchase right now. You can purchase a standard theme park ticket that allows entry into one park per day. The other option is to upgrade your tickets to include the park hopper feature. Park hopping is where you can visit more than one Walt Disney World Theme Park in one day. There isn't a bad choice but I am partial to park hopping. It's my favorite way to spend a Disney day. If you'd like to go ahead and purchase Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets so you can start planning your vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth, I'd say go for it. When the sale of new Walt Disney World Annual Passes is offered and that is something you'd like to do, you can always upgrade your tickets to the annual pass option. The cost of your tickets will get applied to the balance so you won't be out any money.
I'm sorry I don't have a clear date that you can get your Walt Disney World Annual Pass, Jake. But I do hope that it is sooner rather than later because being a passholder is so much fun. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have a great day!
