Hi there, John! It's a pleasure to see you again here at planDisney!
You'll be back at The Most Magical Place on Earth in just over a week! How exciting is that? There are so many amazing things going on right now between the
50th Anniversary Celebration and the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, you won't want to waste a moment!
And one way to make the most of your time at the Walt Disney World Resort is to streamline how you pay for things. It sounds like you'll be staying in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel and using your
MagicBand for purchases, which you can do for dining and shopping at most locations throughout the theme parks and Resort hotels. There are some retail locations at Disney Springs that are not owned by Disney and don't accept MagicBands as payment, so I'd ask before purchasing there (although many do accept
Disney Gift Cards).
When using the
Mobile Ordering feature to grab a quick bite, you won't be able to charge your order to your room account like you would with other purchases, but it's easy to
save a credit card to your profile for these transactions. You'll need to hop into your
My Disney Experience account on a computer, since you can't manage payment options on the mobile app at this time. When you've logged in, hover your cursor over the My Disney Experience logo and click on "Profile" at the top of the drop down menu. On the next page, scroll down to
"Payment Method" and follow the prompts to add a credit card to your Disney account. Then, when you use Mobile Ordering, that card will be charged when you complete your order, and next thing you know, it's time to dig in!
So, with your MagicBand and Disney Gift Cards, and a credit card saved to your My Disney Experience account for Mobile Ordering, you can feel confident leaving your card safely tucked away while you're having fun in the theme parks.
I hope this helps you enjoy your Disney days carefree, John! Thank you so much for stopping by to see us again, and have a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
