I'm wondering if the Disney After Hours ticketed events are the same as the Disney Extended Evening Theme Park Hours available to Deluxe Resort & Villa guests. My family is excited for time at the Polynesian Resort; our boys first WDW trip!

Hi Tom! This is a Fantasmic, excuse me, fantastic question! I can imagine how excited your boys must be for their first time visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth!

Your family has already decided to stay at a deluxe Disney resort hotel! Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is an excellent choice! Because this is a deluxe resort hotel, you automatically gain access to Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT for the Extended Evening Hours benefit! Magic Kingdom Park’s extended evening hours are typically on Wednesday nights. EPCOT’s extended evening hours are typically on Monday nights. The parks will be open late for deluxe resort Guests and crowds do tend to thin out substantially. This will result in reduced waits for attractions, especially as the night gets later. In my opinion, the Extended Evening Hours benefit is one of the best perks for Guests staying in deluxe Disney resort accommodations! Take advantage of it!

That being said, Extended Evening Hours are not typically extended to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. So, the Disney After Hours event at that park might be a good consideration! The special ticketed event will get you reduced park capacity which will result in shorter wait times. Another nice perk of this special ticket is that you can actually enter the park as early as 7PM, even though the event doesn’t officially begin until later in the night! I recommend taking advantage of that extra time! Another nice benefit of this event is that you’ll receive complimentary novelty snacks throughout the evening as part of your ticket admittance!

I hope this advice is helpful as you continue planning for your vacation! Come on back to planDisney if we can be of any further assistance!

    Happy planning!
