Hello, Christie! I'm so glad you've stopped by planDisney with your question.
Since the reopening of Walt Disney World last summer a few changes have been made to the planning process. One of these changes is the
advanced dining reservations. Currently, reservations can be made only 60 days in advance. You can make
advanced dining reservations online starting at 6:00 a.m. Mickey Mouse's time or over the phone by calling 407-WDW-DINE starting at 7:00 a.m. There has not been any announcement made as to if or when we might go back to the 180 days prior for dining reservations. But if something changes, you will be able to find all of the details over on the Disney Parks Blog. That's my go-to source for all things Walt Disney World updates right now.
Christie, have you ever eaten at
The BOATHOUSE at Disney Springs? If not, you've got to add it to your must-try list. It's my current go-to and so delicious. I've been known to make the 8-hour drive on occasional weekends just because a reservation there opened up - it's that good! First of all the restaurant is so pretty and it's set right on the lake at Disney Springs and provides stunning views of the sunset and then Disney Springs coming to life with lights at dusk. It's a gorgeous view. There is something on the menu for everyone. While it's considered a seafood restaurant, they are owned by a famous steakhouse so the meat selections there are amazing as well. If you like seafood then my recommendation is the lobster roll, served warm with butter and a side of their truffle fries. That is my current go-to order and my mouth is watering just typing it all out. If you can snag a reservation at The BOATHOUSE, I highly recommend it! Another great restaurant to try to grab a reservation at is
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera at Disney's Riviera Resort. Breakfast is a character meal with all of my favorites like Mickey, Minnie and the rest of the gang. Breakfast is really delicious and even though you order off of a menu, you are able to have as much as you'd like. I really enjoy ordering the quiche when I am there but then I have to get a side of Mickey waffles because ...well, it's Mickey waffles! Characters, right now, aren't visiting individual tables but are dancing, waving, and posing for pictures throughout the restaurant and it's just a really fun experience.
I hope this helps, Christie. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to come back and
ask me. I'm happy to help. Have fun and happy planning!
