Welcome, Mike!
Disney Gift Cards can be used for just about everything! Tickets, dining, vacation package reservations, merchandise locations etc.... the only exceptions are a few merchandise carts and kiosks in Disney Springs, and reservations at the Swan & Dolphin Resorts, as they are not owned and operated by Disney. Here are some important tips:
• When purchasing tickets, booking a resort hotel reservation, or booking a vacation package online, you are allowed up to two forms of payment. So in this instance, you would be able to use one Disney Gift Card and one other form of payment.
• When calling Disney directly for ticket purchases and reservations, you are allowed three forms of payment, allowing you to use two Disney Gift Cards and one other form of payment.
• While vacationing, gift cards can be used at will and you can use as many as you'd like at one time. However, if you are staying at a Walt Disney World® Resort Hotel and will have a MagicBand, you can use your MagicBand for all your incidentals and then take your gift cards to the front desk of your resort hotel and pay down your balance with all your gift cards. This way, you're not trying to keep track of all your cards and their balances. This strategy will ensure you utilize every penny on the cards.
• Another option in managing multiple gift cards, is to utilize
Disneygiftcard.com, this website allows you to add all your gift cards into the system, you can then transfer the balances onto just one card prior to your vacation.
I hope you find this helpful, Mike! I use this very strategy for all my vacations, so if you have any additional questions, please let me know.
