I’m going on the Wonder to Alaska in August. There are some ports where the ship departs at 7 or 8. If we have the first seating for dinner and end up missing it, where can we get dinner on board if we get on after our seating time? Thank you!

    Welcome to planDisney Ellen!

Sailing to Alaska on the Disney Wonder is an amazing voyage! It tops my list of all-time favorite cruises. I am glad you are planning ahead for fun in the ports of call because there is so much to see and do at each stop. Browse through your options for Port Adventures!

You have plenty of options for dining, even if you are going to miss your early seating for dinner. One option is to speak to the Head Server the prior night, letting him/her know that you will not make it back for dinner the following night. They may be able to arrange for you to switch to the later seating depending on space available.

If changing your dining time for that one night is not an option, you might choose to just relax in your room by ordering complimentary Room Service. After a long day hiking, boating, or exploring, dinner served in your room might be nice!

You might also choose to stop up on deck and grab pizza, hot dogs, or burgers from the quick service windows. Sometimes it is a nice break to just enjoy a quick dinner with something simple.

Once on the ship, check your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. You will see all your dining options listed. I have never found that there were no options for dining. Just the opposite is true - I am usually saying "too much to choose from!"

Wishing you a magical voyage to Alaska and many happy meals onboard the beautiful Disney Wonder!

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
