I'm 27wks pregnant & traveling with a 2yr old by myself. Are cast members allowed to help serve off of buffets? I dont know how I would hold on to my daughter, serve myself and carry plates back to the table. Should I just focus on table service meals?

    Hi Wendy,

I spent a lot of time at Disney World when I was pregnant with my younger daughter, and I found that cast members were even more attentive than usual then. However, I think I would stick to table service restaurants if I were you.

The buffet restaurants are staffed based on the idea that cast members will serve drinks and bring utensils, so there might not be someone readily available to help you fill and carry plates. It might add unnecessary stress to your meal to search for assistance.

There are so many wonderful table service restaurants to choose from. I would use mealtime as an opportunity to let someone else wait on me and save my energy for exploring the parks.

You're going to be incredibly busy with a new baby soon. Enjoy a little pampering!

Have a wonderful time with your little one. Please let us know if there are other questions the Moms Panel can help with.
