I'm on the website, wondering if there is a way to learn more about both parks so I can plan my days there? Kasey

    Hello, Kasey!

Thanks for stopping by with your question. I'm happy to assist!

The Disneyland Resort website is the perfect tool to get started planning your most magical vacation. There, you can review attractions and even sort by experience type, height restrictions, and accessibility options. I recommend clicking the "All Filters" button at the right of the menu bar to help you decide whether thrill rides are your priority for the day, or if you'd prefer to focus on character experiences and entertainment. You can take the same approach on the Dining page and filter restaurants by table-service venues requiring reservations, Character Dining options, quick service locations and even snack carts.

You can also download the latest versions of the Park Guidemaps by clicking the arrow next to  "Guest Services" under the main image on the Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park landing pages. These will give you a clear idea of where everything is located in each park. I'll include links as well:

I'd also recommend downloading the Disneyland Mobile App, which offers much of the same functionality right from your phone. You can use it to view theme park maps and get a sense of entertainment and attraction options in each themed area of the parks and even view dining menus.

If this is your first visit to Disneyland Resort I'd recommend spending at least one full day in each park. My family usually opts for Park Hopper tickets so we can walk back and forth between them on the other days of our trip. We love hanging out in Cars Land in the morning and enjoying our favorite classic attractions like Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean in the afternoon. There's plenty of magic in store at both parks so I know you'll have ample options to keep you smiling all day long. Be sure to watch the Disneyland First Timers podcast which I'll link to this answer and check out this Disney California Adventure Deep Dive article and podcast for even more tips.

Consider purchasing Disney Genie+ Service which will save you valuable time in attraction standby lines at both parks. The purchase also includes unlimited Disney PhotoPass downloads so don't forget to "say cheese" while you pose for lots of priceless vacation memories.

Kasey, I hope this gets you started on your magical vacation plans. We would be happy to help you plan your perfect park itineraries if you'd like to come back and let us know more about your travel party's preferences.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
