I'm going to WDW for the 1st time w/ DH this Aug. We only have 2 days, so we'll go to AK & DHS on Aug 18 and MK & Epcot on Aug 19. If we want to catch Illuminations in Epcot at 9pm, will we have enough time to make it back to MK and catch Wishes?

Hi Eurika!  It sounds like your schedule is jammed packed!

Is your goal to get inside Magic Kingdom or somewhere close?  Although Disney does not have the Wishes schedule posted for August yet, I did check a couple unofficial sites and they are indicating it is scheduled for 10:00 on August 19th.  If this is the case, you should have time to at least get close to Wishes before it starts.

Once Illuminations is over, you'll want to head over to the monorail.  This will bring you to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC).  From there, transfer to the Express Monorail which will bring you directly to Magic Kingdom.  Depending on how long you had to wait for the monorails, you may be in Magic Kingdom just as Wishes begins.

As an alternative, you may want to consider going to the Polynesian beach instead.  Music for Wishes is piped in at locations near the pool and the view is quite nice.  If you decide to go this route, instead of transferring to the Express Monorail, you can either transfer to the resort monorail or simply walk to the Polynesian from the TTC (there is a walking path).

I hope this helps!  Diane  :)
