I'm going to WDW in October and tried to reserve dining at "be our guest" - totally booked up for all times for the entire week we're there. What are the odds of getting seated if we just show up at 4 PM. Do they take walk-ins?

    Hi, Lynn!

I’m glad to hear you’re planning a vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort this fall! There are so many new additions to explore and magic to discover, and October is one of my favorite times to visit Disney Parks because of all the festive Halloween-themed extras.

I had the pleasure of dining at Be Our Guest Restaurant for lunch shortly after it opened, and I agree that you should try to enjoy a meal there during your vacation. I loved the Beauty and the Beast-inspired ambiance and delicious food! I recommend continuing to search for an Advance Dining Reservation online and calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 often to check for any possible cancellations.

However, keep in mind that even if you’re not able to secure an Advance Dining Reservation for dinner, you can still dine at Be Our Guest Restaurant for a delicious quick-service lunch. Meals are ordered using an innovative touch-screen terminal, and many dishes are customizable according to personal tastes and dietary needs. Once you’ve placed your order, you take a “Magic Rose” to the table of your choice in one of three elaborately-themed dining rooms—the West Wing, the Rose Gallery, or the Ballroom—where your food is delivered right to you. Even though the restaurant only offers quick-service dining at lunch, meals are still served on real china and the overall experience is wonderful!

You may even have luck securing a walk-up reservation due to last-minute changes, so if you’ve exhausted all other options, it doesn’t hurt to inquire in person about the possibility of being seated. Good luck and bon appetit, Lynn! Please feel free to ask me any other questions you may have as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted vacation.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
