Hiya Valerie,
Welcome to planDisney! Can you believe you will have a three-year-old soon? Every birthday is special, for sure, but turning three also means an important milestone for a Mouseketeer.
Once your little one turns three, they will have to have a theme park ticket to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth, so based on this, you are correct, your daughter will need a theme park ticket for November 6th and 7th. Now, Valerie, there is one exception. If you purchased your theme park tickets in the same transaction as your resort hotel, you may have booked a
Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package. When you have a vacation package, your child’s age for the trip is determined by the age when they check in to the resort hotel. This is because the system doesn’t allow two ticket types in one booking. So if this were the case, your daughter would be two when you checked in and thus would be considered two for the entirety of the trip. If you did not book a Vacation Package and only have a room-only reservation, you must buy your daughter a theme park ticket for November 6th and 7th.
I hope this was helpful, Valerie. Before I let you go, I’m not sure what your plans are for your vacation, but one way to add a little extra celebration to your daughter’s birthday is to get her a
Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake. In my opinion, nothing is more perfect for a birthday than cake anyway. You can add a Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake to select dining reservations, and sometimes you can even find some hanging around the quick service locations at resort hotels. The cakes are big enough to feed a family, and you can customize them with “Happy Birthday” on the ears. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
