    I'm going to WDW in May. I tried to make dining reservations exactly 180 days in advance, and in MK more than half the restaurants are not available (and they're not the most popular ones). Is there a problem? Or an event that I'm not aware of?

    I am sorry you weren’t able to make reservations for some restaurants at Magic Kingdom Park. Apparently, there is no problem in the system, just many people making their reservations on the 180-day mark. 
    Magic Kingdom Park is the busiest one and its restaurants are very popular. Besides, if you are trying to make your reservations for late May, remember that summer vacation will be starting, and the Walt Disney World Resort begins to receive more guests during this period.
    I encourage you to keep checking back for availability at your desired restaurants. Don’t give up! Some people make the reservation in advance but later they decide to cancel it for many reasons. If you prefer, you can also call dining reservations at WDW. Cast Members will be able to assist you and give you alternatives. Good luck!
