Hey there, Arantxa! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your splash-tastic water park question!
I just returned from a Walt Disney World vacation and my first ever visit to Typhoon Lagoon, so I’m thrilled to help with this question. My family visited on
our check-in day and it was such a fun way to start our vacation. Miss Adventure Falls was our favorite waterslide, but I think my kids could have spent all day in the Surf Pool.
Guests are allowed to wear water shoes at Typhoon Lagoon, but swim attire with buckles, zippers, or exposed metal are not allowed, so a slip-on option might be best. You can find more information in the
Know Before You Go section or talk with a Cast Member at Guest Relations if you have any questions when you arrive. Cast Members may ask you to take off your water shoes for certain attractions, such as
Humunga Kowabunga and the Storm Slides, but you’ll be allowed to hold on to them and put them back on afterward.
Since you’ll be celebrating an anniversary (congratulations!), you may want to consider reserving a
Beachcomber Shack to mark the special occasion. We did this for our visit, and it was wonderful to have a dedicated shady spot with towels, a locker, water and soft drinks, and a helpful attendant.
Arantxa, I hope this information is helpful for your upcoming visit. Come right back to planDisney if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!
Magical travels!
Matt
