I'm going to WDW with a friend April 21-27th, and we're both first timers! How often does the Magic Kingdom do fireworks? We'd love to go to downtown Disney at night but don't want to miss out of the fireworks! Any other tips for 2 adults first timers?

    Hi Tahlia!

I'm so excited to hear that you and your friend are planning your first trip to Walt Disney World.  You're going to have a blast!

The Magic Kingdom has a nightly fireworks show called, "Wishes Nighttime Spectacular."  Depending on the day, it may run at 9:00pm or at 10:00pm, but it's only featured once per evening.  Since this will be your first visit, I'd recommend watching it from Main Street, U.S.A.  It's absolutely breathtaking!

Each theme park at Walt Disney World has a "Times Guide" available at many locations within the parks and the resorts.  These guides are updated weekly and are a great tool to have because they list the most up-to-date information on the daily fireworks displays, shows, parades, restaurant hours, and even character greeting times.

As for other tips for two adults on their first visit, I'd suggest mixing in some of the experiences that Walt Disney World has to offer outside of the theme parks.  It sounds like Downtown Disney is on your to-do list, which has a ton of great restaurants, shops, and other experiences adults can enjoy.  There are also wonderful spas, recreation activities, and other entertainment venues around Walt Disney World that cater to adults while still offering the same level of Disney magic you can find in the theme parks.

I hope that helps!  Have fun planning your trip and I hope you enjoy your first visit!
