Hi. I'm going to WDW in 13 days and I'd like to go horseback riding. I don't have a credit card so I can't make a reservation. Would you recommend me to go to the Tri-Circle D Ranch anyway? How do I get there from Port Orleans French Quarter? Thank you.

    Susana,

It is possible that there could be walk up availability for horseback riding at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, but there is usually very limited availability and I would recommend trying to make a reservation as soon as possible.  You can use any card with a Visa or Mastercard logo, including a pre-paid card that you can purchase and load at your local drug store.  I would suggest loading a minimal dollar amount so the card is active, but please know, nothing will be charged at the time of reservation.  They just take the information in case of no shows or cancellations after the allowed period.

When you arrive at Disney's Fort Wilderness on the day of your reservation, you will be able to pay the fee in any way you choose:  cash, credit card, or even Disney Gift Card.

Now for the directions:  The easiest way to get to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground from Port Orleans French Quarter is to board a resort bus headed to Downtown Disney.  When you arrive at Downtown Disney, you will need to switch buses and board one headed to Fort Wilderness.  The bus will drop of at the Depot and the check in for the Tri-Circle D Ranch Trail Rides will be just to the left of the drop off point.  Please allow around 30-40 minutes for total travel time to be safe.

Hope this information helps, and please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
