Hi, I’m going to WDW to celebrate my 51st birthday and we are staying at Grand Floridian DVC. Our family has literally “done it all” since 1975! Any ideas on something we could do for my 51st that would be cool? Thanks! We are only going to Epcot.

    Welcome back to planDisney, Rachel!

...and a big Happy 51st Birthday to you, too!

Rachel, we are hardcore Disney fans, so I totally understand what you mean when you say you've "done it all". When we are visiting Walt Disney World for a special occasion, I like to look for experiences that the person of honor has not yet tried. Sometimes, that means including some newer experiences or visiting an old favorite that has recently been refreshed.

First, consider some really special options from the Enchanting Extras Collection. Treat yourself to the elegant Celebration at the Top - Sip, Savor, Sparkle or a spectacular Fireworks Cruise. If you've already done a unique tour such as Behind the Seeds, take a look at a different one, such as Wild Africa Trek (my favorite!) We also never get tired of Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties: Pre-Party; each visit feels like such a special occasion!

Rachel, there may be some new places to celebrate, so let's look at those, too. If everyone in your group is at least 21, try Geo-82 Fireworks Experience. What a unique--and delicious--way to experience Luminous The Symphony of Us! After years of closure, The Garden View Lounge - Tea Experience is back--and we cannot wait to try it. Another super-sparkly way to celebrate is with Roses of Gold Afternoon Tea at The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant. So beautiful--and sooo good!

For some celebrations, we'll book a meal with a special view such as Narcoossee's. Because you'll be in EPCOT, visit Monsieur Paul if you have not done so yet. So gorgeously good. Of course, a very special celebration would be dinner at Victoria & Albert's; that would be an outstanding evening you'll never forget!

From tequila tastings with a Tequila Ambassador to wine tasting with a Master Sommelier, spa experiences at The Grand Floridian Spa or Signature Treatments at Mandara Spa, there are so many ways to experience something out of the ordinary to celebrate your special day. You deserve to pick a few!

Rachel, as you plan that practically perfect in every way day, be sure to send additional questions our way. We love to help!
