I'm going to WDW from April 16-25. Are there going to be special events for Easter? Also are Pirate League makeovers photopass events like at BBB?

Hi, Rebecca! You're going to love the parks at Easter time. The weather rocks and so do the park hours. If you're staying on property (highly recommended,) you get certain benefits too. Last year when we were there over Easter, the Magic Kingdom opened at 7 a.m. every morning. The parks were also opened until late at night to accommodate all the others who frequent Walt Disney World during this busy time of year. Midday breaks are key.

No official information is available for special Easter events yet, but there are some things that tend to take place every year. The Disney Parks Blog gives you a glimpse of some of the special events. Epcot does an Easter egg hunt at the American Adventure Pavilion (ages 3 to 9) and an Easter egg relay at Futureworld West (ages 6-12.) Mass is held at the Contemporary Easter morning (two Catholic services and one Protestant.) The Easter Bunny and his beaux do character greetings at the Magic Kingdom the week leading up to Easter, including Easter day. The 3:00 p.m. parade on Easter is themed.

Disney Floral & Gifts offers special Easter arrangements, and they can even hook you up to make it look like the Easter Bunny visited your room.

Lastly - Pirates League - if you buy the photo at the League, you'll be able to add it to your Photopass card.
