I'm wanting to come to Disney for new years eve. I live out of the country. Is there any special ticket I have to buy? Or is buying a 1 day pass sufficient for EPCOT OR MAGIC KINGDOM?

Hi there, and welcome to planDisney! I am so happy that you're here with this great question about planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort on New Year's Eve! It's one of my favorite celebrations and I just know you'll have an absolute blast.

If you're wanting to come to Walt Disney World Resort for New Year's Eve, all you need is a regular date-based ticket. With this type of ticket, you don't need a reservation. I wouldn't worry about getting a park hopper ticket, because in my opinion, you should go to the park where you want to be at midnight, and stay there all day. Parks have been known to reach capacity during the day on New Year's Eve, so head to the park early and plan to make yourself at home for the day! I'd love to share a few tips for you!

I've spent New Year's Eve at EPCOT a few times, and I highly recommend it. Each country in the World Showcase celebrates in a unique way with talented performers and fun entertainment. It's so much fun to ring in the new year at Walt Disney World Resort!

I suggest making one or two Advance Dining Reservations for New Year's Eve to ensure you have set times to eat and a place to rest and recharge so that you can finish the day strong. You can also save time by placing a Mobile Food & Beverage Order within the My Disney Experience Mobile App to save you time waiting for food at quick-service locations.

I hope this is helpful to you! Please stop back by planDisney with any other questions you have as you count down to your arrival!

    Cheers!
    Jennifer
