I'm wanting to make a reservation on the Dining Plan at the Whispering Canyon Dinner Show (in 2013). I just don't understand what the Category 1,2 & 3 mean? What are those for and am I limited to a certain time slot if booking on the DDP ?

    Hi Claire,

First, so that you don't travel to the incorrect venue, the Whispering Canyon Cafe is at the Wilderness Lodge Resort. The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue dinner show with category seating is at Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.

Now, let's take a look at your questions!
From the link provided above, you'll be able to see a map of Pioneer Hall, the theater in which the show takes place. Seating is at tables in category 1, 2, and 3. Category 1 is the priciest and offers the best seats due to main floor seating that is closer to the stage. Category 2 is farther back on the main floor and also up in the second floor balcony facing the stage. Category 3 is in the balcony on the left and right sides of the room.

The Disney Dining Plan can be used for Category 2 or Category 3 seating at all Dinner Shows
(subject to availability) and Category 1, 2, or 3 seating at the 8:30pm Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue
(subject to availability). It will require two table-service credits per person to dine here.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can clarify further. Have fun!
