Hi! I’m wanting to be at Disney world for my sons 4th birthday in January but would like to book a reservation for New Years 2022. If I booked from dec 30th into January 7th 2022 would I be able to change the dates if needed without a new deposit?

Welcome to planDisney, Melissa! You will have such a fantastic time celebrating your son's fourth birthday at the Walt Disney World Resort!

You can modify any Walt Disney World Vacation Package up to 30 days before arrival with no penalty and no need to start over from scratch with a new reservation. You can make some changes using your My Disney Experience account if you have your Vacation Package linked to your profile. Under "My Plans" navigate to the day of your scheduled check-in date and find your Resort Hotel information. There will be a box to the right of the page that will say "Change Reservation." Anything you can change will have a blue link with the word "change". If you cannot change this information via your account, there will be a phone number displayed you may call for assistance.

Be sure to pick up a  complimentary birthday celebration button for your little prince! You can ask for them at the front desk of your Resort Hotel or Guest Relations at any Theme Park. So many Guests and Cast Members will wish your guy a very happy birthday; he will be grinning from ear to ear!

    Have a magical day, Melissa

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
