I'm wanting to take my boys to Disney World sometime next year. They will be 7 and 3 years old by that time. I'm just wondering what parks, resort/hotel, and dining experiences would be best for their age groups?

    Hi Kendra!

Hooray for your upcoming vacation! My sons are 6 and 3-years old and they are such great ages for a Walt Disney World vacation. You can't go wrong!

At this age, you'll want to take transportation into consideration when choosing a hotel. I like to stay as close to the parks as our budget allows. We love Disney's Contemporary Resort or Disney's Yacht Club Resort when we can afford it. Being just minutes from the hotel is so helpful when we need a break. It's also nice to have access to the evening fireworks from your hotel room if you find your little ones need to get some sleep before the show starts.

That said, if you are looking for a more budget-friendly option, we just love Disney's Pop Century Resort. The brightly colored theming is a hit with children and the buses have always been timely and plentiful in our experience.

There is something my boys love in every park. Magic Kingdom park probably has the most variety for your younger child. But between attractions, Character Greetings and shows, you'll have a blast no matter where you are. A big hit with our boys is Tomorrowland Speedway in Magic Kingdom park. They also love Turtle Talk With Crush in Epcot and Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Check out the Planning for Pre-school kids & Little Ones page for even more ideas. Wishing you a magical vacation!
