Im wanting to book a WDW holiday. Is it possible to stay at 2 resorts during the one stay? Obviously I know you could but how would that work with magic bands/park tickets/memory maker>? Thanks

    Bonjour Naomi,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question! I just came back from a visit to Walt Disney World Resort with my family and we stayed in two separate Resorts during our vacation: Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House. I’m pleased to report that the “split stay” actually worked really seamlessly for us.

Because your Memory Maker photo downloads, MagicBands and Theme Park Tickets are all linked to your My Disney Experience account, you’ll be able to continue to use all of them without any interruptions once you’ve changed Resorts (provided, of course, that you still have days remaining on your Theme Park Tickets). In fact, we declined our MagicBands for our stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas, and we were still able to use the same ones from our stay at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. I will mention, however, that we did need to stop at the Front Desk at check-in in order to ensure that our MagicBands would work to open our hotel room door. We didn’t have any problems whatsoever with continuing to use our Memory Maker or Theme Park Tickets.

I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
