Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sandra!

While I’m sure you’re excited about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation, I can definitely see how mobility issues might be a challenge for you while you’re here. Although you’ll find wonderful complimentary transportation options between your Walt Disney World Resort hotel and the Theme Parks, getting around the Theme Parks themselves does definitely involve a lot of walking. I just checked my fitness app, and when my family and I went for a three-day weekend a couple of weeks ago, I walked just under 23 miles during that time.

One thing I would recommend is the possibility of renting an Electric Conveyance Vehicle during your stay. An ECV would allow you to take some of the pressure off of your knee while getting around the Theme Parks, and there are quite a few attractions where the ECV is allowed in the queue (and you just transfer to a ride vehicle once it’s your turn). Wheelchair rentals are also available if you’d prefer that route. Both ECVs and wheelchairs are first-come, first-served and cannot be rented for your entire length of stay. Should you choose to Park Hop, though, daily rentals are transferable between all locations. You can also contact Disability Services for more information.

I do hope you enjoy your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, Sandra. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help you as you plan.
