I definitely consider myself more of an ambiance person as well. I love being able to take in the atmosphere, architecture, and history wherever I go. By not cramming your day with rides and rushing all over the park, you're able to truly soak it all in.
Magic Kingdom Park is full of history and really gives you that classic Walt Disney World feeling. The Festival of Fantasy Parade is a must-see. Be sure to find a spot 30 minutes before the parade starts. I always like grabbing a snack at Sleepy Hollow before I settle in. You also have to watch the
Happily Ever After fireworks and the Disney Starlight Dream the Night Away parade. My bonus tip to enjoy both at once: head to the area by the Mickey and Walt Disney statue in front of Cinderella Castle. To the right, you'll see a fenced garden area. Standing behind the fence is essential for a perfect view of the castle and the parade as it passes by. This is my favorite spot, especially since I’m not very tall, and the fencing helps ensure no one blocks my view. For this, I usually wait about an hour before the parade starts.
Disney's Hollywood Studios also has some magical touches in the reimagined Animation Courtyard. As someone who has personally visited the Walt Disney Animation Studios lot in Burbank, California, I was thrilled to see elements of it at Hollywood Studios. Be sure to get a picture by Pluto's Corner! Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and Toy Story Land are so immersive, you'll truly feel transported to another world. Don't forget to check out 50's Prime Time Café. The fried chicken is phenomenal, and you have to catch Fantasmic! Arrive about 40 minutes before the show starts to get great seats, and try to sit near the middle if you can.
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a truly unique experience, unlike anything you'll find during regular park hours at Magic Kingdom. If you love storytelling and atmosphere, you'll absolutely love this event! The level of detail is why it's a favorite in my family. You'll get to enjoy exclusive parades and fireworks, plus see your favorite characters in their spooky attire. One of my favorite parts is dressing up. Wearing my Princess Tiana costume is a huge highlight! Everyone gets into the spirit, making it a fun evening for Guests of all ages. If you're interested, I recommend booking as soon as possible, since tickets can sell out quickly. Another tip: with your party ticket, you can enter Magic Kingdom starting at 4 PM, so you could spend the earlier part of your day at another park and then head to the party in the evening.
I also recommend spending time at EPCOT. Disney does a fantastic job of making you feel like you're traveling the globe! From August 27 to November 21, the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival takes place. The food is phenomenal, and there's so much to discover. I highly encourage you to check it out.
