    Hi! I'm visiting WDW om March 31st. It will be my 6 y.o.'s first time! Members of my family have purchased Disney Dollars for her to buy souvenirs with. Can these or Disney Store gift cards be used to buy food in the resorts and MK?

    Hi Takisha,

    The Disney Dollars are so cute and such a great gift.  I'm sure your 6 year old just can't wait to get to WDW.  The Disney Dollars can be used throughout the park to buy food or souvenirs.  The Disney Gift Card can also be used. 

    Just as a reminder, the Disney Dollars are just like cash and can not be replaced if lost or stolen.  I was in WDW with my friend a few years ago and her daughter lost a fanny pack filled with fifty Disney Dollars.  The bag had her name in and they received it at home a week or so later, but the cash was gone.  You may not want her to walk around the park with more money then you're willing to lose.
