Hi Melissa Ann,
Thank you for dropping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and happy early birthday! Spending a milestone birthday at Walt Disney World...seriously, what could be better? I have a few ideas for making your “very big day” memorable and magical.
I love the idea of a dessert party celebration. There several dessert party options in the parks, and enjoying unlimited sweets while getting to enjoy one of Walt Disney World's spectacular fireworks shows from a special viewing area sounds pretty perfect to me.
Another idea is to take a
Disney tour. There are many different choices, so whether you want to get up close and personal with the animals at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, or learn more about the backstage magic at Magic Kingdom Park, there’s likely something perfect for you. My family was lucky enough to enjoy a VIP Tour a few years ago, and we made the most magical memories!
Staying at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter puts you a lovely boat trip away from Disney Springs. Maybe stop at
Senses Spa at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa for a relaxing spa treatment, and then meet the rest of your party for dinner at one of
Disney Springs’ delicious restaurants. I recently enjoyed a celebration dinner at Paddlefish and thought the food and ambience were both wonderful – and the lobster guacamole was sooooo yummy. If you have birthday dinner in Disney Springs, be sure to stop by Sprinkles for a decadent birthday cupcake.
Melissa Ann, I’m wishing you an absolutely magical birthday celebration, and hoping these ideas help you plan your “best day ever.”
