Hi! I’m visiting WDW 5/3-9 and have my HS day planned for 5/4 when I realized it’s May the 4th (Star Wars Day) Are there any events planned that day to make it more crowded where I should switch my HS day to another day? Want to avoid crowds. Thanks!

    Hello, Mallory,

Thank you for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I'm so happy to hear you are visiting Walt Disney World this May.  It is only a few months away!  Last year on May the 4th, there was some themed merchandise available and a special Disney After Hours at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  However, there has not been any information shared about what to expect this year, so a great source of information for events that may be planned for the day is the Disney Parks Blog

With the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and the newest attraction Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Disney's Hollywood Studios has been incredibly popular with many guests wanting to experience these amazing additions to Walt Disney World.  Also, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway will be opening soon, which will draw guests into the park to enjoy this attraction, too.  So, it is likely that the park may be crowded any day that you visit as there are so many incredible attractions to experience. To help reduce wait times, I'd encourage you to make your FastPass+ selections beforehand (Disney resort guests can make them 60 days in advance for their entire length of stay; non-Disney resort guests can make them 30 days in advance) as well as dining reservations

Wishing you a magical trip!  Please let us know if we can help with any further questions. -Kara
