Hello, Azul! And welcome to planDisney! This is a great question, and I'm excited to help you with it!
An evening show at a Walt Disney World Resort theme park is the perfect way to end a full day of meeting characters, experiencing attractions, and eating Mickey-shaped snacks. These nighttime spectaculars are all so different, but each of them leaves me feeling inspired. They are also quite popular, so it is recommended that you find a viewing spot at least 30-60 minutes before the scheduled start time. You will find that some begin lining up even before then. Our family likes to grab a spot and then send one member to go fill up our popcorn buckets or get us all Mickey Ice Cream bars.
In Magic Kingdom Park, the nightly fireworks extravaganza is
Happily Ever After. This show has become so special to me, and I can't watch it without at least a few tears! Anywhere in front of the castle (it's commonly referred to as "the hub") or on Main Street, U.S.A. is a good spot. If you want to catch the
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade beforehand, Sleepy Hollow is a nice place to see both. My favorite way to experience this, though, is with a
Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party. I like to go to the pre-party, but there are options for a
post-party, and even one during the show, called
Seats & Sweets. All of these include unlimited snacks, treats, and drinks, as well as private viewing for the fireworks. I find this experience to be well worth the cost.
In EPCOT, you'll see
Luminous: The Symphony of Us. This show is my daughter's favorite, so it's a must-do for us. It is presented in World Showcase Lagoon and can be seen from most anywhere around the lagoon. My family likes to get a spot around Norway. Dining packages are available at both
Rose & Crown and Spice Road Table, which include dinner reservations and preferred seating for the show.
Disney's Hollywood Studios has
Fantasmic! This is another not-to-be-missed musical that features so many of our favorite characters, and it will keep you on the edge of your seat! It is held in an amphitheater with stadium-like seating, so you can view all of the action, no matter where you are! There are
dining packages available for this experience, as well.
You can view all of the showtimes on the
Walt Disney World Hours & Events Calendar (times are always subject to change). These events are all held outside, of course, so keep an eye on the weather and your My Disney Experience App for any updates.
Azul, I hope all your vacation dreams come true this summer, and that you have the most magical time! If you have any more questions, please come back and see us here at

Always dreaming -
