I'm visiting Walt Disney World with my family in April. I'm a 100% disabled, retired Navy veteran. My children are HUGE Star Wars fans and I'm trying to book lunch at Space 220. Every time I wake up to book it's sold out.Any advice? Thanks

Hiya, Frank! Thank you for visiting us at planDisney, and thank you so very much for your service.

Walt Disney World absolutely gets it right when it comes to themed dining experiences. Making a dining reservation for a hard to get restaurant can be a challenge, but I've got a few tips for you.

As one of the newest restaurants, Space 220 Restaurant may just be the hottest ticket in town right now. Although not Star Wars themed, you will feel like you've been taken 220 miles above the earth to enjoy this meal, with menu items like Starry Calamari and Galaxy Grain Salad to add to the space-themed vibe. So how do we score a table?

Well, Frank, I highly recommend checking often - at least a few times a day, and definitely around 10 PM. People cancel plans, even right up until the day of, so you may get lucky and snag a reservation someone has had to cancel. If you can, be super flexible with your time. Check for an early lunch or a later dinner to help increase your chances. If you can't get into the restaurant itself, try for the Space 220 Lounge. You can still sample many of the same menu items with some pretty amazing theming.

For your Star Wars fans, Frank, also look into grabbing a quick bite at Oga's Cantina at The Walt Disney World Resort. Located at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios, it's another hard to get reservation, but you will be steeped in Star Wars theming if you can get in!

    Good luck, Frank!
