Hi there, Alice!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm sure that you and your daughter are counting down the days to your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I'm more than happy to help you with this important key to your adventure.
Currently, U.K. residents are not able to pre-register for the Disability Access Service (DAS). This means that at the start of your vacation, you will have to visit a
Guest Services location, which you can find near each theme park's entrances. There, you can speak to a Cast Member to determine your daughter's eligibility and get set up for your first Lightning Lane return time.
The good news is that this will only slow you down just a bit on the first day. (Although I must say when my family registers on property, the Cast Members are Lightning McQueen fast!) DAS benefits are for the entirety of your stay, so you won't have to worry about checking in on your status. The DAS service is applicable to up to five additional party members as well. When you register in person, the Cast Member will set up your first Lightning Lane selection for you. Then, you'll be able to select your own using the
My Disney Experience app's DAS Return Time Self-Selection Tool or ask a Guest Experience Team Cast Member at the blue umbrellas around each theme park to make your next one.
AN EXTRA GEM: To make the most of your time at the Most Magical Place on Earth, I recommend that you also utilize the Disney Genie+ Service. Not only can you make return window selections using the My Disney Experience's DAS Return Time Self-Selection Tool, but you can maximize your time by purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane or a full-day Disney Genie+ Service. This will give you double the options to access the various attractions' Lightning Lane queues.
Alice, if you have any further questions, please revisit us here at planDisney! I'm all ears!
Magic always,
LeAndra
