I'm visiting the park with my extended family and my 1 & 3 year old. None of us enjoy roller coasters and would like to use the FastPasses on more kid-friendly rides we can do together. Can you suggest which of these would be smartest to use FP on?

    Hello Mary Kate!

I am not a roller coaster lover myself and tend to hang with the preschool crowd. I have 5 girls ages 10 to 1, so we're more mild. With that in mind, I'll share some of my family's favorite uses for FastPass+ selections.

In Magic Kingdom park, there are numerous attractions for a one-year-old and a three-year-old. I use my FastPass+ selections on attractions that are more slow-loading that can make the lines feel longer. I would definitely select Peter Pan's Flight and The Jungle Cruise and throw in a character meet 'n' greet with a favorite Disney character. You can also save those for another park that has less attractions for younger children and select an attraction like The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

A lot of the attractions have interactive queues, so although you may have to wait in a line, magical surprises await. Don't forget that once you have used your 3 FastPass+ selections, you can head to a FastPass+ kiosk and choose another available attraction.

In Disney's Animal Kingdom, I would choose Kilimanjaro Safaris, Festival of the Lion King, and Meet Favorite Disney Pals at Adventurers Post. At Epcot (and once again these are all based on being able to take both children on an attraction), the winners would be IllumiNations:Reflections of Earth, Spaceship Earth, and Epcot Character Spot. And finally at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Toy Story Mania for sure! I would choose it a million times if I could. The next two selections can be any remaining attractions that interest your family.

You can certainly tweak these to whatever you feel your family would enjoy and love. If some people in your party decide to take a walk on the wild side, it is easy to make different FastPass+ selections. The FastPass+ system is designed to allow more flexibility and family time. Have a magical, fantastical vacation!
