Hello! I'm visiting Orlando again next year for The Summit 2025 and wanted to ask if the 5 days admission to ESPN that Varsity offers has to be used in the 5 consecutive days since activation of the athletes credentials card, thank you!

Hi there, Benedetta! Welcome to planDisney. It's always a treat to meet a fellow cheer/dance mom, and I certainly appreciate someone who also likes to plan their Walt Disney World Resort vacations far in advance!  Let's get those spirit fingers ready and find you the details you need for a cheer-tastic trip in 2025.

It sounds like you had a great experience at The Summit Championship this season! The cheer and dance events at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex are always so much fun, and make for a great experience for athletes and spectators alike. I've recently been starting to make plans for our own team travels for next year's high school dance team championships, so we are on the same page!

At this time, the information for The Summit Championship for 2025 has not yet been released. Based on the information from the 2024 event provided by Varsity (the event organizer), the admission to the ESPN Complex included in the athlete and spectator packages was listed as valid for "up to 5 days", to cover the dates of the championship. Typically this admission is only able to be used for the event itself, not on other dates before or after the scheduled championships. I reached out to Varsity to clarify, and they recommended contacting your team's event liaison once the 2025 information is released.

Benedetta, for your planning purposes it's good to know that Walt Disney World Park Hopper tickets for theme park admission that are part of the Varsity athlete and spectator packages typically have a date range with an expiration date. For 2024 this range went from April 20 to May 8, which allowed participants to use their tickets flexibly before, during, and after the event weekend. The 2024 tickets also required theme park reservations--while we don't know if the same rules will apply for 2025, this is the current standard for tickets sold through a third party.

I'm sorry I don't have more specific details for you, but I recommend keeping an eye on the Summit website for the most up-to-date information. Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, and please don't hesitate to reach out again if we can help with any other questions to make your 2025 trip as magical as can be. Wishing your favorite team all the best with their preparations!

    Go Team!
